We are part of the global German company „B. Braun”, „B. Braun Avitum” has been operating in Lithuania since 2007. There are six „B. Braun“ dialysis clinics belonging to the „B. Braun“ network: two in Vilnius, one each in Kaunas, Šiauliai, Raseiniai, and Prienai.
UAB „B. Braun Avitum” provides the following healthcare services:
- ambulatory hemodialysis,
- nephrologist consultations,
- consultations with a vascular surgeon.
Dialysis treatment services are also provided free of charge to citizens of European Union (EU) countries. To exercise this right, they must submit to the personal health care institution valid documents confirming their personal identity and insurance with state health insurance – the European Health Insurance Card (ESD) or a certificate temporarily replacing it.
Citizens of Ukraine who left their country due to hostilities have the right to free health care in Lithuania. To use this right, it is necessary to register with the Migration Department. Every Ukrainian war refugee registered at the Migration Department is assigned an ESI code and having it, these persons can receive free necessary medical assistance services in Lithuania. If you have an ESI code, you will receive dialysis services free of charge – they will be paid for by the State Health Insurance Fund, just like the medicines prescribed to you.
